Model 56
Designed to be a medium-priced bolt-action rimfire rifle. Featured a detachable box magazine. Chambered for .22 Short or .22 LR cartridges. Introduced in 1926; discontinued in 1929. About 8,500 rifles sold. NOTE: Add 50 percent premium for rifles chambered .22 Short only.
Model 56 offered in two styles:
1. Sporting Rifle: 22" round barrel; plain walnut pistol-grip stock and fore-end. Both styles had a distinctive lip on fore-end tip
2. Fancy Sporting Rifle: 22" round barrel; fancy walnut checkered pistol-grip stock and fore-end.
