Model 59
Fourth and final pre-1964 Winchester self-loading shotgun. Featured a steel and fiberglass barrel, with aluminum alloy receiver. Available in 12-gauge only. Barrel lengths from 26" to 30", with a variety of chokes. In 1961, Winchester introduced "Versalite" choke tube. This gave shooter a choice of Full, Modified or Improved Cylinder chokes in the same barrel. Sold about 82,000 Model 59s between 1960 and 1965. NOTE: Also made in 10-gauge (very rare), 20-gauge and 14-gauge. If any of these very low production or prototype guns are encountered, use extreme caution and seek an expert appraisal. Add 40 percent premium for barrels with three Versalite chokes and wrench; 20 percent premium for original box and papers.
Available in two different styles:
1. Standard Grade: plain walnut checkered pistol-grip stock and fore-end.
