A modern short-stroke lever-action chambered for .243-, .308-, 284- and .358-calibers. Available in a rifle version, with 22" round barrel; carbine version, with 19" round barrel. Carbine model was not chambered for .358 cartridge. Both furnished with a detachable box magazine. Stock was a one-piece design, with pistol-grip offered in hand-cut checkering or pressed basket weave checkering after 1964. Rifle introduced in 1955; carbine in 1968. Both versions discontinued in 1973, with about 283,000 sold.
