Model 99 or Thumb Trigger
A modification of Model 1902, without a traditional trigger. Rifle was fired by depressing trigger with the thumb, which was part of the sear and extractor located behind the bolt. Chambered for .22 Short and Long until 1914, when it was also chambered for .22 Extra Long. All cartridges could be shot interchangeably. Stock was same as Model 1902, walnut stained gumwood, without trigger or trigger guard. This model was not serial numbered. Built between 1904 and 1923. Winchester sold about 76,000 rifles.
