Model 1903
First semi-automatic rifle produced by Winchester was designed by T.C. Johnson. Offered in a take-down version only. Available in a 20" round barrel. Chambered for .22 Win. Automatic Rimfire. This ammunition is no longer produced, and when found is very expensive. Tubular magazine located in buttstock and holds 10-cartridges. Manufactured from 1903 to 1932, with about 126,000 sold.
Available in two different configurations:
1. Standard Rifle: 20" round barrel; plain walnut straight-grip stock; plain fore-end; steel crescent butt standard.
2. Deluxe Rifle: 20" round barrel; fancy checkered walnut pistol-grip stock; checkered forearm.
