Belt Model Paterson No. 2

Belt Model Paterson is a larger revolver, with a straight-grip and octagonal barrel that is 2.5" to 5.5" in length. Chambered for .31-caliber percussion and holds 5-shots. Finish all blued, with varnished walnut grips and no attached loading lever. It has a roll-engraved cylinder scene and barrel stamped "Patent Arms Mfg. Co. Paterson N.J. Colt's Pt." Serial number range is #1-#850 and shared with #3 Belt Model. Made from 1837-1840. An excellent cased example was auctioned by Rock Island Auction in 2007 for $414,000.
