High quality and unique rifle, manufactured for Colt by J.P. Sauer & Son of Germany. Rifle features a non-rotating bolt, that makes Colt Sauer action smoother functioning than most. Has 24" barrel, skipline-checkered walnut stock, rosewood fore-end tip, pistol-grip cap and recoil pad. There are five basic configurations: Standard Action chambered for .25-06, .270 Winchester and .30-06; Short Action chambered for .22-250, .243 Winchester and .308 Winchester; Magnum Action chambered for .7mm Remington Magnum, .300 Winchester Magnum and .300 Weatherby Magnum; "Grand Alaskan" and "Grand African" heavier versions chambered for .375 H&H Magnum and .458 Winchester Magnum, respectively. All discontinued by Colt in 1985.
