Actually a Police Positive Special, with 2" barrel. Originally chambered for .32 New Police, .38 New Police (which were discontinued) and .38 Special, which continued until end of production run. Finish blued or nickel and offered with wood or plastic grips. Over 400,000 manufactured between 1926 and 1972. A few 2nd issue (post WWII) units came with 3" barrels. NOTE: Add 50 percent for pre-war 1st issue (serial number 331000 - 490000); 25 percent for nickel finish; 30 percent for 3" barrel.
