SAA Flattop Target Model 1888-1896

Model highly regarded and sought after by collectors. It is not only rare (only 925 manufactured), but an extremely attractive and well-finished variation. Chambered for 22 different calibers from .22 rimfire to .476 Eley. The .22 rimfire, .38 Colt, .41 and .45 Colt are the most predominant chamberings. The 7.5" barrel length is most commonly encountered. Serial number range between #127000-#162000. Some have been noted in higher ranges. Finish is all blued, with case colored hammer. Checkered grips are hard rubber or walnut. Most identifying feature of flattop is lack of a groove in the top strap and sight blade dovetailed into the flattop. Front sight has a removable blade insert. Values given are for a standard production model chambered for calibers previously mentioned as being the most common. It is important to have other calibers individually appraised, as variance in values can be quite extreme.
