Model 1889 Navy—Civilian Model

1889 Navy is an important model from a historical standpoint. It was the first double-action revolver Colt manufactured, with a swing-out cylinder. They produced 31,000 of them between 1889 and 1894. Chambered for .38 Colt and .41 Colt cartridges. Cylinder holds 6-shots. Offered with 3", 4.5" or 6" barrel; finish was blued or nickel-plated. Grips are checkered hard rubber, with "Rampant Colt" in an oval molded into them. Patent dates 1884 and 1888 appear in the barrel marking and serial numbers stamped on the butt. NOTE: Add premium for blued models; 20 percent for 3" barrel
