Chambered for .38 ACP cartridge. Has a 7-round detachable magazine, 6" barrel and blued. Checkered hard rubber grips featuring "Rampant Colt" molded into them. Most notable features of 1902 Sporting Model are rounded butt, rounded hammer spur, dovetailed rear sight and 1897-1902 patent dates. Manufactured approximately 7,500 of these pistols between 1903 and 1908.
