Model 1905 Marine Corps

Variation of New Army and Navy Model. Derived from late production, with its own serial range #10001-10926. Only 926 produced between 1905 and 1909. Quite rare on today's market and is eagerly sought after by Colt Double-Action collectors. Chambered for .38 Colt and .38 Smith & Wesson Special cartridges. Holds 6-shots, has a 6" barrel and offered in blued finish only. Grips are checkered walnut and quite different than those found on previous models. "U.S.M.C." stamped on the butt; patent dates of 1884, 1888 and 1895 stamped on barrel. Of these revolvers 125 were earmarked for civilian sales and do not have Marine Corps markings; these will generally be found in better condition. Values are similar.
