New Line Revolver .22
This was smallest framed version of five distinct New Line Revolvers. A 7-shot cylinder and 2.25" octagonal barrel. Frame is nickel-plated and balance of revolver nickel-plated or blued. Grips are of rosewood. Approximately 55,000 of these made from 1873-1877. Colt also stopped production of New Lines rather than try to compete with "Suicide Specials". "Colt New .22" is found on barrel; ".22 Cal." on frame. Barrel also stamped "Colt's Pt. F.A. Mfg.Co./Hartford, Ct. U.S.A." NOTE: Blued models will bring higher prices than nickel models in same condition.
2nd Model
Long cylinder flutes. Premium for rare Kittridge "Little Colt" marking on right side of barrel.
