Appears similar to New Pocket Model. Frame stamped "New Police". Chambered for .32 Colt, .32 Colt New Police and .32 Smith & Wesson cartridges. Barrel lengths 2.5", 4" and 6". Finishes blued or nickel-plated. Colt manufactured 49,500 of this model from 1896-1907. New York City Police Department purchased 4,500 of these revolvers and backstraps are so marked. Also, a target model of 5,000 were produced. Features 6" barrel, with flattop-frame and target sights. NOTE: Add 30 percent for New York Police marked; 20 percent for target model.
