The flagship of the Dakota line, the Model 76 Classic has been made for more than 30 years. Standard features include a flat-bottom action with integral recoil lug, Mauser controlled-round-feed action in one of five sizes including Short, Short Magnum, Standard, Standard Magnum and Long Magnum, actions drilled and tapped for 8-40 screws, right- or left-hand configurations, 3-position safety, 1-piece bolt and mechanical ejector. Available in chamberings from .22-250 to .416 Remington (see 76 Safari for larger African chamberings), with 23” barrel, matte blue metal. The English walnut stock is checkered and the action pillar and fully bedded.
