DAKOTA ARMS, INC.
Location: Sturgis, South Dakota
Master gunsmiths Don Allen and Pete Grisell formed Dakota Arms in 1986. The company offered four basic models, with an array of options. Remington Arms Co. purchased the company in 2009, it is now defunct. Note: All prices are base prices. Dakota’s many extra-cost options greatly affected the new prices and used values of its arms. Now out of business, many of the employees of Dakota have relaunched the company under the Parkwest banner. It remains in Sturgis, South Dakota.—SEE PARKWEST ARMS.
