Similar in appearance (though a good deal smaller in size) to standard model pistol. Chambered for .32-caliber percussion. Has 4.25" top barrel and .41-caliber smoothbore lower barrel. Cylinder is unfluted and holds 9 shots. Barrel marked "Systeme Le Mat Bte s.g.d.g. Paris". Has British proofmarks. Blued, with checkered walnut grips. Scarcest model Le Mat. Only an estimated 100 manufactured. Used by Confederate States of America in Civil War.
