Introduced in 1965. Chambered for .444 Marlin. Essentially a Model 336 action modified to accept larger cartridge. Has 24" round barrel that was cut back to 22" in 1971. Holds 5 shots total. When introduced, featured straight-grip Monte Carlo stock and semi-beavertail fore-end with barrel band. Another band holds the two-thirds-length magazine tube in place. In 1971 stock was changed to pistol-grip, without Monte Carlo comb.
