Location: Mexico City, Mexico

This is a .45-caliber semi-automatic pistol, with 5" barrel. Similar to Colt M1911A1, with combination side and safety latch on left side of frame. Breech is locked by rotating barrel, instead of Browning swinging link. This unusual locking system results in a tubular front end appearance to pistol. Originally designed for Mexican military, it was not adopted as such and only about 1,000 pistols were produced and sold commercially. Pistol is 8.5" overall; weight about 40 oz. Magazine holds seven cartridges. A rare pistol; independent appraisal suggested prior to sale.
