Gastinne Renette, established 1840, made and sold high-end decorated firearms. He was gunmaker to the emperor of France and the King of Spain. Their 19th-century pistols included both percussion arms and breechloaders using the distinctive Rennette dropping block system. In the 20th century, they were best known for high-end sporting arms, often with custom features and engraving.
