.44 Hand Ejector 1st Model (Triple Lock)

Also known by collectors as ".44 Triple Lock" or "The New Century." The Triple Lock nickname came from a separate locking device located on extractor rod shroud that is used in addition to usual two locks. Chambered for .44 S&W Special cartridge or .44 S&W Russian. On a limited basis, also chambered in .44-40, .45 Colt, .455 Mark II and .38-40. Fluted cylinder holds 6-shots. Barrel offered in standard lengths of 5 or 6.5 in. Limited quantity of 4" barrels produced. Finish blued or nickel-plated; grips checkered walnut with gold S&W medallion on later models. Approximately 15,375 manufactured between 1908 and 1915. Note: Add 100% premium for factory target sights.
