Model 26 (1950 .45 Target)

Numerical designation of 1950 .45 Target Model. This large N-frame revolver is basically the same as Model 25, but has a lighter, thinner barrel. This caused its unpopularity among competitive shooters who wanted a heavier revolver. This brought about Model 25 and the demise of Model 26, in 1961. Manufactured only 2,768.
