Introduced in 1961 as a target pistol. Chambered for .38 Special midrange wadcutter cartridge. Similar in appearance to the Model 39, but single-action-only by virtue of a set screw. Fitted with 5" barrel and 5-round magazine. Blued finish, with checkered walnut grips. About 3,500 produced in this configuration. Discontinued in 1963.
