Introduced in 1962. A 2-in. heavy barrel built on the K-frame. Chambered for .38 Special. Marked "U.S." on backstrap. Total of 15,205 produced. Discontinued in 1964. Most were reportedly destroyed by the Air Force. About 35 have been found to date. Values are speculative due to rarity.
