In 1970, Model 61 was introduced as the only true pocket automatic that S&W produced. Chambered for .22 LR cartridge, with 2.5" barrel and 5-round magazine. Offered blued or nickel finish, with black checkered plastic grips. Dropped from product line in 1974.
