These optional or extra-cost features are too numerous to list and can affect price of shotgun or rifle to an enormous degree. In some cases, these options are one of a kind. Collectors and those interested in Winchester firearms have the benefit of some original factory records. These records are now stored in Cody Firearms Museum, Buffalo Bill Historical Center, P.O. Box 1000, Cody, Wyoming (307) 587-4771. For a $25 fee, museum will provide factory letters containing original specifications of certain Winchester models using original factory records. CAUTION: Buyers should confirm by Cody letter any special-order feature on any Winchester within the Cody record range before paying a premium for a scarce feature.
